  Definitely NOT Shake Rabble Roll. I was a patron of theirs for many years and was sad when they sold, but optimistic to see the new change of ownership and what that would bring. Went for Mothers Day dinner and so disappointed. Staff was very nice, but the place reminded me of a hospital cafeteria, grey walls and metal trays. Not very busy, but took over 20 minutes to get our food and my Husbands was cold. Burgers had no taste to them what so ever and the price was ridiculous and no refills on your drink. Best part of our meal was the cauliflower. Sorry, but won't be returning.

  Previous restaurant was much better food here was mediocre at best. Poor menu choices. Bad seating felt like you were sitting in a college students apartment with mismatched furniture. Really deserves only 1/2 star really.

  The food is delicious!!!! I love that the owner is out talking with customers and making sure they are enjoying their dining experience. The staff was very friendly. I drove out from Toronto just to eat there. Im already having cravings and need to go back asap!! I give this place 10 stars

  TL;DR: one of the better burgers I've ever had in the Durham Region, and all of the sides are worth the visit alone.
  
  We have been waiting for Butchie's to open since we saw the teaser pics on social media months ago. It's a simple menu, but with endless combinations and possibilities. Pick your meat (main) and the number of sides you'd like to go with it (1, 2 or 3). We ordered the Country Fried Steak with Mac n Cheese + Hush Puppies and the Burger with Fries + Cauliflower Cheddar Casserole. The Burger was perfectly cooked: juicy and delicious. One of the best burgers I've had in the Durham Region. The fries were great, well seasoned and that awesome potato taste you want in fries. The Cauliflower Cheddar Casserole: this is how you should eat cauliflower! YUM! My fiance enjoyed her steak (I tried some too, very flavorful) and the Mac n Cheese and Hush Puppies were good too.
  
  We were too full to try dessert but are looking forward to going back to try all the pies and ice cream!

  Menu is well thought out and easy to follow with unlimited combinations to choose.
  
  Pick your protein that includes 3 meats smoked on site. Then choose if you want 1, 2 or 3 side dishes.
  
  We had the burger and smoked pork shoulder with fries, hush puppies and cauliflower cheddar casserole. Everything was cooked perfectly but the smoked pork deserves extra special mention as the bark was amazing and the meat juicy. No need for the BBQ sauce that's available at every table.
  
  All of the staff were friendly even under the pressure of a constant crowd of guests. It was extra nice to see Chef Andrea front and center helping plate everything and ensuring the quality was to her standards.
  
  We'll definitely be back to try the smoked 1/2 chicken and more sides!
