Originally rated a 3 star. Took them 10 minutes to seat us (with many vacant tables), service continued to be slow throughout the meal, and they forgot several items we ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu. Also, they are the only sushi restaurant I've ever been to that charges extra for green tea - really? It's already one of the more expensive sushi bars I know.
Anyway, the food itself seemed mostly okay/good... A couple items were lacking, and I had some small grievances about quality in some cases (browning avocado, etc.). The reason I changed my rating to a 1 star is because, obviously, there was more amiss with my food than what was easily visible - I'm on hour 8 of food poisoning that kicked in about 5 hours after I had lunch here. I'll never return here again.

The appealing quality of this restaurant is that they serve sashimi during the All-you-can-eat Lunch hours (not many in the area do so). While I've been to this restaurant over a dozen times, I'd never gone for dinner service until now. We booked for a party of 4 online through their website for a 9pm reservation. What they fail to mention anywhere is that they stop taking orders at 9:15pm. After the initial upset (with no apology or sympathy from manager Vincent) we decided to stay. While making the reservation online it was specifically requested to be seated in a quiet area. If you've never been to this restaurant, they like to cram people into the center and hardly use the booths near the windows. When we requested from Vincent to be seated in one of the outside booths, he flat out said no and proceeded to leave the iPad at one of the tables sandwiched between 2 full tables.

I've never seen a manager so blunt and uncooperative with customer requests. Our waitress did her best to accommodate all our orders even after last call, but not without a frustrated Vincent watching over us and our ordering.

All in all, their food is great but the customer service is severely lacking. It should be better with the prices they charge.

First time visit on a Sunday for lunch. Beautiful clean space and was surprisingly not busy at opening (noon).

The food is delicious, fresh and arrives quick to the table. Staff members are pleasant and attentive.

Like all of the other local sushi joints, only credit and cash is accepted here. I personally find this annoying as my preferred method of payment is debit.

We also could not find their prices on their Facebook page or website. I believe we paid $19 per adult & the usual $1.99/yr for children for a Sunday lunch buffet. Reasonable and around the same you will pay at competitors.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will return.

The food is good thanks to their chefs. But unfortunately due to the rudeness and indecency of the waitress will not be returning. They just lost 5 valuable customers. The waitress was named as "Vincent" on the bill, she argued for a 10% tip and insisted we used the ATM and paid a fee of $3 to withdraw cash just to tip her! I don't think she understands tips are a gratuitous gesture. She complained of working so hard and was racist as she said "this is Canada and in Canada you give a 10% tip". She harassed us for money, it made my experience of eating sushi very horrible and disappointing.

Best of the mono chain. Decent sushi for Durham region. Salmon is high quality.
